Brand Identity / Cafe Sous Terre

Cafe Sous Terre is a French, Jazzed themed cafe and bar located in the heart of Midtown Detroit. The logo was designed to emulate an old hand painted sign you might find in the streets of Paris. The cafe was opened in memory of the owner's grandfather, who was a jazz drummer in New Orleans and a passionate lover of coffee, which is why the iconography depicts coffee leaves and drum sticks.
